Regan has been practicing and teaching hot yoga/hot Pilates since 2017. She is both level 1 & 2 Inferno Hot Pilates trained and completed her 200 hour hot power vinyasa certification through yoga alliance. Regan received her Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science from Ball State University in Indiana and she graduated from Indiana University with her doctorate in physical therapy in May 2020. She was a travel physical therapist across the country in 2021 and taught yoga & pilates classes along the journey. Regan is very passionate about empowering everyone to live their best lives and is excited to be here in Bakersfield with this community. Each class will consist of a hot playlist and killer sequence to sculpt and energize you!

Michele has been doing yoga since 2006. She has been involved in fitness throughout her life (swimming, track, bodybuilding, triathlons, and aerobics). Wife, mother of 3, as well as an elementary school teacher, yoga brought a peace and calmness to her busy life like no other activity. She finally found something that strengthened her body, but nourished her soul as well. After 4years of lyengar classes and workshops, michele was introduced to hot yoga and all it’s wonderful benefits. Hot yoga and certain instructors inspired her to take her yoga to the next level. She eventually went on to get her yoga certification through Yoga Alliance and Yahweh Yoga. This past year she became a certified Paddleboard Yoga instructor and now holds paddleboard yoga classes throughout the summer months right here in Bakersfield. Michele has a strong desire to share all the wonderful benefits of yoga with everyone she knows. She truly believes everyone can do it, and everyone needs it.

Maui’s yoga teaching journey began at Warrior 1 in 2015. He has since taught and honed his skills in Portland, Oregon and has recently found his way back to Bakersfield to be closer to family. He and his wife, Abby, have led yoga workshops and retreats domestically and in Costa Rica. Students love Maui’s classes because they are fun, creative, encouraging, and accepting while always gently hinting at some yoga or mindfulness principle. Laughter and playfulness is always encouraged in his class.

Hi, my name is Lauren Chenard, and I am 32 years young. I found my passion for fitness very young, doing ballet classes and dance competitions. I discovered my passion for teaching group fitness classes in 2012 as a Les Mills instructor. I became addicted to teaching group fitness classes. I wanted to broaden different fitness styles, so I became a beach body coach teaching insanity classes and then added my Spin certification shortly after. For fun and sport, I love doing Pole Fitness and have been training for 10 years. I have always loved doing yoga and how it complimented all my other trainings, so I wanted to learn more about it. I finished my 200 hours of yoga training here at warrior 1 summer of 2021, and I am so blessed to be a teacher here. Yoga has always been my foundation for fitness, and it keeps my mind and body strong, so I can be the best I can be. Exercise and moving your body is so therapeutic and does so much more than just make you look good! It’s about feeling good too, and who doesn’t want more of that!? I’m so happy to learn and share here at Warrior 1.

I was born and raised in Bakersfield,Ca and I have had the privilege of seeing the West Coast of the United States. When my mother passed away in 2011, my life changed. I moved back to Bakersfield from Northern California, and God directed me to a path of love and kindness that could only heal my heart. Though my first taste of yoga was back in 2004, at Bakersfield College, I did not really encompass a yogi lifestyle till about 6 years ago. That is when I decided to make a healthy lifestyle change and dive fully into the practice of yoga. My practice continuously grows and transforms, not only physically but also emotionally by enriching my spiritual life. Yoga to me is more than a form of exercise. It’s a process. It’s working through difficult poses in yoga which teaches me life lessons that i may practice on a daily basis, with love and compassion, towards myself and others. A friend of mine told me years ago: “Erin, the key to happiness is helping others”. May my story help you. May you find what you need here. And may you be happy, joyous, and free.”

“Deekay was drawn to yoga as an escape from the corporate world, to reduce anxiety, and get back in touch with my spirituality. Moving the body with the breath helped clear my mind. My teaching and my life are a reflection of this path. For me, Yoga = Life. There is no separation. My interest lies in bringing awareness to, and gaining mastery with, the connections between body, mind, emotions and life for more empowered and truthful living
My hope for students upon leaving a class lead by me is that they feel more clear, connected, aligned, and alive.

Hi warrior family! My name is Charlotte Stuteville. I was born and raised in Bakersfield, California. I’m married and have three beautiful children. I love spending time with my family and friends during my free time, and I also enjoy hiking, paddle boarding, and camping. Fitness has always been a massive part of my life. I have a history with Group fitness and yoga. My passion is to continuously grow in my skills and experiences as a fitness instructor, and I look forward to spending time with you in my class at Warrior 1.

BJ Claiborne, aka Dr. BJ, is the creator of Zyoga, a new “hot room” workout that fuses the excitement of dance with the stretching principles of yoga. Her class is accessible to people of all fitness levels. Known for her contagious energy, unique style, and Caribbean influences, BJ’s passion for dance and expression began at the age of 5. She has over 15 years in several different dance platforms and strength training. In 2016 BJ became a licensed Zumba Fitness instructor and is an active member of ZIN (Zumba Instructor Network)

I am thrilled at the opportunity to share my passion for yoga and fitness with the Warrior 1 family. Having had years of dance and musical theatre training, I’m looking forward to incorporating both aspects in my classes. I have been practicing yoga for over 10 years and have completed the RYT 200 hour teacher training.
